About the institute

Stepway Institute in Homagama teaches ICT and Computer Science. It was founded and is led by Taniya Ramanayake, a Computer Science teacher with more than 16 years of teaching experience. Classes are kept small, so every student gets individual attention. Lessons are concept-based and practical: students learn by solving problems and working hands-on, not just by memorising. What we teach: * Cambridge IGCSE Computer Science, including a fast-track path from Grade 8 with past papers and unit tests * Edexcel International GCSE (9–1) ICT * Local-syllabus ICT for Grades 6–11 and O/L, with practical sessions * Coding, robotics (Arduino) and electronics for children * Web design, graphic design, UI/UX, Microsoft Office and using AI tools * Computer for Ladies, a digital-life programme for women and parents Classes are held at our Homagama institute, and online classes can be arranged around your available time. Lessons are taught in English and Sinhala.
